Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale is a global event in which folks run a vegan bake sale and donate the profits to help animals in need. In 2019, we raised over $6000 for the Rooster Sanctuary at Danzig’s Roost, a local Colorado animal sanctuary where farmed birds who would otherwise have died an unnecessarily early and brutal death can live out their lives in health, peace, and with loving care.
1. Donate baked goods!
We are accepting donations of vegan baked goods from shops, vegan-friendly businesses, and local home bakers! Since 100% of the proceeds of the bake sale will go to a non-profit, your donation is tax-deductible, and we will also feature your business name in our advertising for the event (including blog and social media posts) and at the bake sale itself. We ask that your goods be 100% vegan (no eggs, dairy, honey, etc.) and that you provide an ingredient listing for allergen information.
2. Volunteer your time!
We always need help the day of, whether it’s hanging signs, picking up donations, cleaning up, or slinging baked goods. Our WVBS crew always has a great time together! We can also always use help wrangling more donations - reach out if you want to do outreach to your favorite local vegan-friendly restaurant and baker friends!
3. Show up, donate, buy stuff, and munch!
Last but certainly not least, join us at NOOCH Vegan Market on Sunday, May 31 and buy some baked goods! All baked goods are donation-based, all proceeds go to local animal sanctuaries, and even a little goes a long way. Bring along your friends and family, and check out NOOCH and the food trucks and vendors who are also donating 10% of their sales for the day!
